"Five Heroes" lose on appeal I just heard about this and don't know all the details yet, but here's a link to the opinion if you're as interested as I am. These are the 5 self-confessed agents who claimed not to be spying on the U.S. government but rather on various anti-Castro terrorist organizations. After their conviction in 2001, they argued that it's impossible for them to get an unbiased trial in Miami. Today's ruling (by the 11th Circuit Court) overturns the decision made by a three-judge panel about a year ago to grant a new trial in another, somewhat less hostile venue.  ¶ 6:51 PM
