today's reason to love seattle I'm sitting here on the balcony at Solstice at 9am, and there are 3 dudes (who apparently just finished their last final) toasting their success with PINTS OF BEER. They are totally classic, too: "here's to summer! Wooooo!" "No more learning!!" "Now we're members of the community!" "I knew this guy once who woke up naked on a sled wearing a helmet and didn't know how he got there--that's what I want this summer to be like!" Seriously. Now they're pretending to play the marimba. And to think I used to feel guilty about my 11:30 beers at Big Time when I was writing my thesis...oh, youth. Oh, Seattle.  ¶ 10:07 AM

  OT 1) Holy shit, Seattle has the greatest coffee in the entire world. For serious reals.

2) My brother met Par1s H11t0n at a party in LA last week, and he says--I swear I am not making this up--that she is a "ray of light."

3) I really, really, really need to finish writing this speech that I'm theoretically giving on Friday in front of several hundred of my peers, beloved advisors, and future colleagues. It is also very, very, very weird to suddenly have a--how do you say?--deadline. Sheesh.

4) Ann Coulter is one crazy bitch.

  i bring you loooooove I love my excellent little brother so much. I knew he had a little side project with some other musician-types and was cranking out some sweet emo boys-with-acoustic-guitars kind of stuff, and I finally heard some. Awwwwww. What heartbreakers.

Graduation is on Friday...I still can't believe it. This week is just all about the love. Big Time even has a new IPA on: how awesome is that? And the weather in Seattle is gorgeous, and my friends are all so beautiful and amazing, and I'm going back to Europe for the first time in...eleven years! Can that be right?  ¶ 10:10 AM
